Odoardo Alibi™ terms

These terms govern the sale of Odoardo Alibi™ — a handmade oak box with conversation cards.

Without Odoardo Soul™, the product is entirely analogue. Using it requires no application, account or subscription. In the dedicated edition you may additionally order the Odoardo Soul™ AI assistant for every box of the series, opened through a microchip — a one-time addition. A digital experience ordered in this way is governed by the provisions indicated in the “Odoardo Soul™ in other products” clause of the Odoardo Soul™ Terms.

Matters not regulated here are governed by the Sales Terms and the General Terms.

The standard edition comprises the box, a full set of conversation cards, a dedication with wording you specify engraved on the underside of the lid, and gift wrapping. You give the wording of the dedication in the brief in Odoardo ID™ after placing the order.

We engrave the dedication as worded in the brief, without a separate design approval. We may refuse to engrave unlawful content. We will then ask you for different wording.

The dedicated edition is produced in runs of at least 10 copies.

The price of the dedicated edition has two components, and three where the Odoardo Soul™ AI assistant is ordered. All of them are shown in the configurator before the order is placed. The first is a one-off charge for preparing the series. It is charged once and never multiplied by the run. The second is the boxes, priced on quantity tiers on the terms of the Sales Terms. The third is the ordered Odoardo Soul™ AI assistant, priced per box on quantity tiers of its own.

The dedicated edition includes the contents of the standard edition. Its price also includes engraving on the lid, a gilded symbol on the reverse of the cards and a welcome card. Questions and illustrations prepared for the brand are a separate order in Odoardo Atelier™, quoted individually. We agree the terms of such an order with you in documentary form, including the moment the contract is concluded.

You may reduce the run until production starts, but not below 10 copies, both before and after the design has been approved. The price of the boxes and of the Odoardo Soul™ AI assistant is then recalculated for the actual run. The charge for preparing the series is not reduced. We refund the difference within 14 days.

Before production we present the design to you for approval. We do not start production until you approve the design. You approve it by e-mail sent from the address assigned to the order.

Changes reported after approval are made only where production has not yet begun. Where a change requires the preparations to be carried out again, we state their cost before making it, and we make the change only once you have accepted that cost.

The economic copyright in the questions, metaphors, illustrations and editorial work on the cards belongs to the Operator. By buying a copy you acquire the object, not the rights to what it contains.

You may use your copy anywhere, including at commercial meetings, and you may give it away or resell it. Beyond permitted use, reproducing or reprinting the cards and disseminating adaptations of them require our consent in documentary form.

By supplying the wording of a dedication, or a logo, marks or content for the dedicated edition, you declare that you hold the rights allowing their use in the copies covered by the order. You grant the Operator a free, non-exclusive licence, for the time needed to perform the order and store the materials and without territorial limits, to reproduce those materials, including digitally, in print and by engraving, and to adapt them in the design of the series, only as far as performing the order requires.

The right of withdrawal and the complaints procedure are set out in the Sales Terms. The exceptions to the right of withdrawal are set out in its “Statutory exclusions” clause.

Cards or parts of a set missing from the delivered shipment are supplied free of charge, without returning the whole set.
