The artist's path

Who is
Iryna Vasiur

I was born and raised in Kyiv, where I currently live. However, I studied in Poland, majoring in Visual Arts at the University of Rzeszów. I travel extensively and am constantly seeking something new for my art. It is difficult for me to limit myself only to painting and drawing, which is why a combination of various techniques, disciplines, and experiments can often be seen in my work. I am also interested in sculpture, object design, photography, and illustration.

    An iceberg – though it began as an abstraction in which the woman who made me found something personal. I am a diptych on paper, made with navy carbon paper, an iron and water, about her past: the time before she knew war and left home.

    Iryna Vasiur. Born in Kyiv, where she still lives, she studied Visual Arts at the University of Rzeszów. She travels widely and combines techniques in her work, with an interest in sculpture, object design, photography and illustration as well.
